i) Flying Branch – Applicants must have successfully completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in both Mathematics and Physics. Additionally:
(aa) Graduation with a minimum three-year degree in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 60% marks or its equivalent. OR (ab) Possession of a BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. OR (ac) Successful completion of Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. |
(ii) Ground Duty (Technical) Branch –
(aa) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}: Applicants should have a minimum of 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level. Additionally, they must hold a four-year degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University OR have cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India. The minimum required marks are 60% or equivalent in the following disciplines:
(ab) Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}: Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level. They should also possess a four-year degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University OR have cleared Sections A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India. The minimum required marks are 60% or equivalent in the following disciplines:

(iii) Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches –
(aa) Weapon Systems (WS) Branch: Candidates must have successfully completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in both Mathematics and Physics. Additionally, (aaa) Graduation with a minimum three-year degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 60% marks or its equivalent. OR (aab) Possession of a BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. (ab) Administration & Logistics: Applicants should have completed 10+2 and hold a Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% marks or equivalent. Alternatively, they should have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. (ac) Accounts Branch: Successful completion of 10+2 and graduation in any of the following streams with 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized university: (aaa) B. Com Degree (Minimum three years course). (aab) Bachelor of Business Administration (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelor of Management Studies (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelor of Business Studies (with specialization in Finance) (aac) Qualified CA/ CMA/ CS/ CFA. (aad) B.Sc. with specialization in Finance. Age Limit:
(i) For Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: The age range is 20 to 24 years as of January 01, 2025, meaning candidates must be born between January 02, 2001, and January 01, 2005 (inclusive of both dates). However, the upper age limit is relaxed to 26 years for candidates with a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India), allowing those born between January 02, 1999, and January 01, 2005 (inclusive of both dates) to apply.
(ii) For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: The age requirement is 20 to 26 years as of January 01, 2025, with candidates born between January 02, 1999, and January 01, 2005 (inclusive of both dates) eligible to apply. (iii) Marital Status: Candidates must be unmarried at the commencement of the course, and marriage is not permitted during training. If a candidate gets married during the training period, they will be discharged and will be obligated to refund all expenses incurred on them by the Government. |

Application Fee:
Upon completion of the online application form, candidates are required to pay the examination fee of ₹550/- + GST (non-refundable) for AFCAT entry (not applicable for NCC special entry). The payment can be made online through the ‘Make Payment’ step on the main menu of the online application. Cash, cheques, or demand drafts (DD) will not be accepted for the examination fee.
The examination fee can be paid using credit/debit cards or net banking through the provided payment gateway. Applicants should carefully follow the instructions and steps provided on the payment gateway. It is advisable to print and retain the transaction details for their records. Once the bank confirms the payment receipt, the “Payment Status” will indicate the “Registration Number,” which candidates should note down for future correspondence. Simultaneously, candidates will receive a confirmatory SMS/email. Subsequently, an Admit Card (with the Hall Ticket Number) will be sent to the candidate’s registered email ID and will also be downloadable from the same email ID. |
